At 10:30pm the on call doctor came down from the delivery suite to examine Kristin because we have now got to the stage that a midwife cannot make a call on what to do next. The doctor examines Kristin and explains thatthe neck of the cervix still hasn’t completely shortened but has dilated to about [ READ MORE ]
The baby is now 14 days overdue. Kristin was examined last night and it would appear the pessary has been doing it’s job. 5 days overdue and still no sign. This is driving me mad. The nursery is now ready for use (except the carpet but I’ll be doing that once the baby is here) so o have nothing left to do to occupy my mind and to make matters worse we have a power cut at work [ READ MORE ]
Today is the day and… nothing! Been over to see the midwife this morning who said not a lot really apart from booking an appointment for next Friday just in case baby still hasn’t arrived. Wow! It really hit home today that very very soon I will be a dad. Today is my dad’s birthday and we spent the day having a ‘barbeque without a barbeque’ or a get together of family and friends. Everybody was asking how long was left until the big day to which we casually replied [ READ MORE ]
Following on from “Roll on May”… We finally got in to see the consultant who felt the bump and made a few notes. He then confirmed that everything was fine, he was happy with the result of all the tests and that we didn’t have to come back until week 39 for a routine check [ READ MORE ]
