Wow! It really hit home today that very very soon I will be a dad. Today is my dad’s birthday and we spent the day having a ‘barbeque without a barbeque’ or a get together of family and friends. Everybody was asking how long was left until the big day to which we casually replied [ READ MORE ]
Following on from “Roll on May”… We finally got in to see the consultant who felt the bump and made a few notes. He then confirmed that everything was fine, he was happy with the result of all the tests and that we didn’t have to come back until week 39 for a routine check [ READ MORE ]
Another day, another appointment. It’s getting a bit boring sitting around in a hospital for hours on end. Today’s appointment is a follow up from the diabetes check that was initiated because the baby’s waist was larger than average. We got to see our baby again today – What an amazing thing to sit and watch. When I remember back to the the 12 week scan and remember how tiny the baby was and how much space they had to move around. Compare that to now and all you see is baby. No matter [ READ MORE ]
Because the 20 week scan showed up a larger than average waist measurement for the baby we had to attend a check up scan at 24 weeks to make sure there was nothing to worry about. So here we are… week 24. As with all the other scans, we signed in at the desk and [ READ MORE ]
