One Year On…
Can you believe it? This time a year ago Kristin was being prepped for a Caesarian. Yes, a whole year has passed since Lucas was born and I’m not sure where the time has gone but what a year it has been. It has been the best thing in the world watching this little person growing up and changing every day. I’d love to say watching this tiny little bundle of joy but he’s never been tiny.
The memory that will always stick with me will be when I took Lucas out of the operating theatre and sat waiting for Kristin to arrive. ‘A perfect little bundle of joy’ I thought to myself. Ten minutes later my arm was dead from holding him and I was desperately trying to find something to prop my arm on the help take some of the strain. Luckily there was a cot close by and I managed to rest my elbow on the edge of the shelf that was folded down on the end of it.
Roll on the next 12 months…
